Like seeing art but don’t know Korean? The 10th Gwangju Biennale has lots of English-language services (in addition to Chinese and Japanese) for visitors interested in a more in-depth introduction to this year’s edition.

Docent-led tours are available in English, Chinese and Japanese (reservations must be made in advance), and free audio guides can be downloaded onto smartphones and tablets in English in addition to Korean. QR codes for the audio guides can be scanned on-site at the exhibition entrance.

If you’re visiting from outside Gwangju, Jane Tour & DMC offers well-organized vacation packages. Visitors can spend time both at the Biennale Hall and the nearby Damyang Bamboo Forest on a single-day trip, or travel farther out to Suncheon and Yeosu, or Gangjin and Haenam for a two-day option. Visit www.janetour.com for more information.
