Gwangju Biennale Academy 2024 International Curator Course - Applications Open

Applications are now open for the International Curator Course, part of the Gwangju Biennale Academy 2024. This on-site course is designed to nurture international emerging curators, theorists, and administrators.

From 2009 to 2018, Gwangju Biennale International Curator Course (GBICC) was held 8 times, led by renowned professors such as Maria Lind, Joanna Warsza, Barbara Vanderlinden, Dan Cameron, and Ute Meta Bauer, among others.

This year, the course features keynote lectures by Nicolas Bourriaud, the artistic director of the 15th Gwangju Biennale, as well as former directors, curatorial teams, and international art figures, providing numerous opportunities to share their experiences.

Participants will have the chance to attend the opening ceremony and symposium of the 15th Gwangju Biennale. Additionally, visits to museums, galleries, and art studios are scheduled. Throughout the course, group studies will be conducted, culminating in group presentations.
